Youth Volunteer 2017

We need lots of help from youth and adults to offer this wonderful VBS.  Volunteer for the week or even one day; we’ll match your talents with our needs in the art, music, story, surprise, or snack centers. Sign up will begin in mid-May.  Contact: Beth Freeman   896-0241, or find us on Facebook at “OLOL Vacation Bible School”.

Family Movie Night! Join us for a family movie night to kick-off VBS Registration.  We’ll show “Moana” on Friday, May 12, 7:00 PM in the Parish Life Center to get into the island spirit. Bring pillows, blankets, and chairs to be comfortable, and we’ll provide popcorn and lemonade for refreshment.

Walking with Purpose is a 22-week women’s Bible study that aims to bring women to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through personal study and small group discussion.  It offers solutions to our everyday challenges through the teachings of the Catholic Church.

That Man is You!

That Man is You! (TMIY) is offered on Thursday mornings at 6:00 AM.  Modeled on some of the country’s leading men’s programs, TMIY combines Scripture, solid secular research, and a little fun to address the pressures and temptations facing men in our modern culture.  It seeks to form authentic leaders who will be capable of transforming homes and society. TMIY tackles real issues facing real men.  It looks at the leadership role that has been entrusted to men and addresses the struggles men face in a culture that attacks the integrity of manhood. In a relaxed setting, men have the opportunity to wrestle with issues they share and receive strong encouragement and prayerful support from other men who seek to follow Christ.

Contact the Parish Office for more information 896-0241.

The Journey of Faith begins with your questions.  Could this be YOU?

I have questions about the Catholic faith but don’t know how to get them answered.

I am curious about the Catholic faith and don’t want to “commit”.

I’d love to talk with someone about the church and why things are done in a certain way.

I feel like I am being called to a deeper relationship with God and the Catholic faith seems to be the path.

If you answer “yes” to any of these questions then you might want to consider the RCIA (The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults).  RCIA is a process with no specific beginning or ending time.  Lourdes offers a year-round process so people can join the inquiry period throughout the year.  There are no tests.  There is the opportunity to discover the answers to some of your questions and learn more about why Catholics do what we do! Contact the Parish Office for more information.  See also the Formation page under the Ministries tab.
