MEN'S BASKETBALL LEAGUE STARTING SOON!
The OLOL Men's basketball league is looking for new players - league rules require players be a member of the parish, have a "significant other" who is a member of the parish, or have children attending OLOL School, and be over the age of 25. Games are played on Sundays in the Winter and Spring. Games are generally Sunday nights at 7, 8, and 9 p.m. (with a few exceptions). The season has 10 regular season games with a single elimination tournament at the conclusion of the regular season. The first games for the Spring session are scheduled to begin February 25. Fees are $55 per player for those returning and $70 per player for those new to the league (this extra cost covers the league jersey expense). There is no need to find or bring a team - team captains will draft from the pool of players 10-14 days prior to the season. If you're interested in joining the league please notify Brian Hayden and Josh Price at email@example.com with your intent to play no later than February 12th!
BACK TO SCHOOL BASH!
Thanks to everyone that came out and celebrated back to school with us on September 8! Check back often - we'll be announcing new events soon!
A huge thanks to DJ Dave Drummond, truly a one of a kind talent behind the mic. The Lourdes family is blessed to have him sharing his time and talent and making these events so much fun for our students!
When you see these ladies around Lourdes, give them a pat on the back - they worked tirelessly to make sure the Bash was a success...and that the kids had as many popsicles as possible!
Getting back into the groove of school is always easier with the help of our awesome PTO, and their incredible selection of spirit wear. Thanks for all your efforts to make sure that kids and parents alike always have the latest and greatest Bearcat gear - the constantly updated and new gear guarantees we always have the best dressed fan base!
WE HAVE OPEN POSITIONS ON THE ATHLETIC COMMITTEE AND WITHIN THE BOOSTER ORGANIZATION
The Boosters and the Athletic Committee are always looking for new volunteers to coach, serve as sports coordinators, and to serve as Athletic Committee members. We can also use some volunteers to help get the concession stands ready when we host sporting events - we currently host CSAA basketball on Saturdays, and basketball clinic for grades K-2 on Sundays. Later in the Spring, we will again host a Saturday soccer clinic, and potentially other CSAA sports. Beginning in the summer we will also host our annual adult kickball league!
Boosters and Athletic Committee are currently looking for volunteers to help with the following:
Spring Soccer Clinic Coordinator(s) (ideally split between multiple volunteers to minimize the time commitment)
Adult Kickball Commissioner(s) (to share the responsibilities over the 6 week season with our current Commissioners)
These volunteer positions are seasonal, so it's always a short term commitment. If you have a child in a sport and want to be more involved, we will find a place for you! Volunteering your time and talent is both great stewardship, and a vital part to ensure we can continue to host these sports programs for our young Bearcats.
